The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has officially revealed its 2025–26 class of Hollywood Walk of Fame inductees, and the list is brimming with star power. Among the honorees are fan-favorite names from the world of comic book movies, including Emily Blunt, Timothée Chalamet, Rachel McAdams, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Shaquille O’Neal.
Making headlines in India and beyond, acclaimed actress Deepika Padukone has also earned a spot in this prestigious lineup. Best known for her work in blockbuster Bollywood hits like Pathaan, Fighter, and Chennai Express, Padukone will become the first Indian actress—renowned primarily for her Hindi film work—to receive a star on the Walk of Fame.
Over nearly twenty years, Padukone has built an extraordinary career defined by both critical acclaim and box office triumphs. Her dazzling debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 2007’s Om Shanti Om catapulted her to stardom overnight. She soon proved her range with bold, genre-defying roles—whether it was challenging the "heroine" stereotype in Cocktail, delivering heartfelt realism in Piku, or tapping into emotional depth in Tamasha and Gehraiyaan.
Audiences still hold her portrayal of the reserved yet determined Naina in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani close to heart. Padukone’s collaborations with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali—Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat—cemented her status as a powerhouse performer, equally adept at bringing intensity and elegance to the screen.
Her dynamic chemistry with Shah Rukh Khan has yielded some of her most iconic roles, with crowd-pleasers like Chennai Express, Happy New Year, and the record-breaking Pathaan. Even her short cameo in SRK’s 2023 action spectacle Jawan left a lasting impression.
Looking ahead, Padukone will reunite with Khan once more in the highly anticipated 2026 film King, and she’s also set to lead an upcoming sci-fi thriller directed by Jawan’s Atlee.
A recognized global figure, Padukone was named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2018 and later honored with the TIME100 Impact Award—underscoring her influence that extends far beyond cinema.
No date has been scheduled for her ceremony just yet, but recipients have two years to schedule their star ceremonies from the date of selection before they expire. The Walk of Fame website will then announce the ceremony approximately 10 days prior to the event on their official website.
